As the four take off in search of finding the tree from which Dr. Satan was hanged, they pick up a young hitchhiker named Baby Firefly, who claims to live only miles away.

It’s the Four Aces Diner, at East Avenue Q, on the northwest corner of East 145th Street, about five miles east of Palmdale in the California desert. The empty desert is measured out in a grid of streets and avenues, presumably for the inevitable day when the suburbs of Los Angeles sprawl out to the Nevada border. The creepy blend of violent rednecks makes for a terrifying and uncomfortable cast of villains. The Firefly family is the sort of nightmare that Charles Manson might have, for they are the strongest and most memorable part of House of 1000 Corpses. Spaulding in particular is quite disturbing due to this nature, for you really could see yourself almost being friendly with someone like this (given if you didn’t know their true nature).

There's an abundance of gore in this derivative horror movie, but little sense or wit. She makes her way to the main road where she encounters Captain Spaulding, who gives her a ride in his car. The rest of the film takes place on Halloween Day and shows the macabre and grotesque acts that the members of the Firefly family perform on their new victims. He had done animation for the 1996 film, Beavis and Butthead Do America, tried to write a script for the 3rd "Crow" sequel, and directed some of his own music videos but little else.
